Thunderbird

I want to start using thunderbird again so I can have an easier and better email system. However, I recall from using it a couple of years ago that it took all my emails off the university system once they were read meaning I couldn't view all the emails in my inbox webmail as well as thunderbird (w...

Re:

I'm another one who doesn't mind the smell one bit and actually thinks it quite nice, definitely a walk-past thing too.

Re:

I'd concur about the snooker hall, although to my knowledge there at least 4 in town (:P), in addition to the union and sallies there are 2 in the New Golf club.

Re:

Never fear, chaffinch is here! This move to EAST HAM should be quick enough to prevent the Shoreditch default. This is just a stop gap though so I hope someone can find a way of avoiding spoon.

Re:

Yes, I'd say so and from there I'm going to say KENSINGTON OLYMPIA. Purely speculative of course, but if someone inadvertantly triggers Geraldson's Prerogative then a surprisingly quick game could ensue.

Re:

Following recent high profile redevelopments I'd like to put an experimental slant on this historic game and name KING'S CROSS ST PANCRAS. I doubt the international links will be of much relevance to a lower quadrant reversal this early on but the subsequent City line oscillations could be something...

Re:

I concur, marvelous game with well blended strategies combining to set up a wonderful battle. I look forward to the next round.

Re:

EARLS COURT - simply to bring a progressive element to this stagnating lower quadrant - I urge people to open the northern frequency bias now, lest we incur the spoon-ridden Thimblewick exhange route.

Re:

Haha, thought that might be played at some point what with the way the station flux function was alternating. I'll say WEST HAM now purely because it provides the best winning position I can see - surely nobody wants the tedium of repeating the district line imbalancer so either play positively or d...

Re:

Following a simple but effective Fawksley passover clause I picked up while watching the great Henry Thorpingdale, I'll take WESTMINSTER.

Re:

Well the crescent in 2 from here really would be something, personally I've never seen it done from such a precarious position but with lines limboed and extra trains running on the now-inverted Bakerloo line I guess its not beyond the realms of imagination. I'm going to fuel my intrigue here and po...

Re:

Bravo that man, I always thought Slomavokavich was an exceptionally underrated strategist and this particular ploy is deliciously clever, especially considering the danger posed by Aldwych. I'll lead the way to the crescent with the obligatory BOND STREET.

Correct. Quite a simple example of a bipolar transversal really. Not for the tricky part - I'll go for LADBROKE GROVE, for reasons that will soon become apparent...

Re:

Well I think I see how you do it before the quartering - you'd have to change to southbound lines though, which is legally ambiguous I'll admit but it does allow one to play any 6th station on the Piccadilly line; in which case I'll take LEICESTER SQUARE.

Yeah, I was a tad underwhelmed by it too. Worth a chuckle or two but don't think it came across all too well on the big screen.

Re:

Well I'm content just playing GLOUCESTER ROAD as a filler station until the Mackarel exclusion comes into effect. Doesn't really change the poise of the game I realise but thought I better play something other that the same old switchback inversion on the circle line.

Re:

Yes I rather thought that might be the case, hard luck Brian. I'll pre-empt the referee's confirmation here as I'm fairly certain the Diana Memorial rule names MARYLEBONE or any other suitably adjacent piccadilly line station as a viable alternative.
