Re:

Is that a Tory I spy lurking in the late night undergrowth waiting for SD results... well I never Steveo, I didn't know you cared... Quoting Steveo from 00:22, 10th Jun 2008 It's just like the maximum 10% per day that can be deducted for late submission. So few people are willing to take departments...

Re:

The outcome of the R.O.N. victory in Chattan last year was me: a senior student that really wanted the job, and was qualified to do it. As opposed to two candidates who weren't really fussed.

(Apologies for the delay in answering your questions guys, hecklings rather stole my life for the last couple of days.) I hope you won't mind if I try to answer the questions about 'apathetic' students and the two way process of engagement together, they're clearly about the same issue. First of all...

Thank you for the question, it's good to get some debate going! First of all I think it would be a mistake to assume that because representation is less 'sexy' than other things makes it is less important. There are many important services that we think of as being a bit dull but are glad that they'...

Lucy Green for Director of Representation

Just a quick introduction: My name is Lucy Green, I’m a fourth year Sustainable Development student and I’m from the North. I’m running for Director of Representation because I’m determined to show that ordinary students can make a real difference to the Association, and that the Association can mak...

Re:

Heya, I had dreads for about a year and crafted them myself (with the help of a friend). They're actually really simple to do, and don't listen to that bollocks about shaved heads and not washing - I washed mine regularly and when I cut them out I was left with a cute crop. Do be warned that they ta...

Did Macgregor actually do anything that round...

I think you'll find upon close inspection that Mr Macgregor made an invaluable contribution of hIp-hOp stylez to the team.

That is all.

Re:

Voting RON isn't always a waste of time, McIntosh had a RON vote in their senior student election this year which led directly to the constitution being changed. Obviously the kind of campaign that led to these changes is more difficult ot orchestrate on a large scale, but maybe that just tells us t...

Hullo and welcome (pre-emptively) to Chattan! c-floor is the girls floor one up from the ground, most shared rooms are lovely and big , with high ceilings and good sized windows. You should be far enough away from the common areas to get some peace and quiet, without having to hike all the way to th...

Is anybody pleased that the University is taking steps towards addressing the environmental and community impacts of our actions, even if the details aren't perfect?

Or is that not vitriolic enough for The Sinner?

Re:

Philosophy seems particularly prone to disparity between exams and coursework, I sometimes feel like they're marking far more for originality and independent thought in the exam rather thank knowledge as such. I'm also not sure that the 50/50 split actually works out the way you'd think it would, I ...
