Re:

I go to the dentist across from the union. It's private so I have to pay for treatment but I have been impressed with their service.

Re:

Keys on a mac can be popped off, then it's much easier to clean under. The bottom row pop off by lifting them from the back, the rest pop off by lifting them at the side, the big ones have multiple clips. Do it carefully though because the little plastic clips break easily. I found the best way to c...

Re:

Since I am graduating this year it would be cool to hear some songs that were big bop songs in my first and second year when I went regualarly. The one that really stood out was Mr Brightside - but NOT the remix version.

Re:

Usually you can sign up to a gp back home temporarily. I think you can also get the pill at a Brook clinic... but I might be wrong. The doctor will give you advice about the different types of contraception available. Different pills have different hormones, your doctor will put you on the one most ...

She had hurt her leg pretty badly, probably broken, and was bleeding from the head but said that it wasn't sore. She was awake and speaking and the ambulance came very quickly so I expect she'll be ok, apart from the leg. She had dark, in third year (i think) but I'm not going to give her name becau...

Re:

I agree with all the above advice. I was there for a long weekend which was plenty time to do all the main sites. We stayed in Sultan Hostel in Sultanahmet, it was fairly nice but there are lots on the same street which are probably of comparable price and standard. I would also recommend a visit to...

Re:

I have tended to find that repairs at the mac shop out of warranty are really quite expensive. I was recently quoted £600 to fix the connection between my battery and the computer, which I thought was ridiculous considering that my computer still works fine off the mains. My guess is that the price ...

Re:

Is it under warranty? If so you need to take it to an apple dealer or apple shop. I don't think there is one in Dundee. There is one in Edin but I would not recommend them as they tend to take a long time. Your best bet is the apple store in Glasgow (I know thats a long trip!) If it's not under warr...

Quoting from 15:59, 29th Apr 2008 If they don't let you take extra credits, maybe you could do an evening language course? I believe that ELT run various kinds throughout the year. It won't show on your transcript, but you can still put it on your CV. They do show up on your student record if you s...

Some subjects allow you to do a dip across to another subject for one module so I'm sure it's possible. Also, you could do an evening language class, I'm not sure if they have Russian but they certainly have Mandarin.

Re:

What is your budget and what day do you graduate on? My Dad is a photographer and is doing mine and a few friends and probably wouldn't mind making a few extra pounds. Failing that there is a lady with an advert on Facebook, can't remember the name though.

Quoting starsandsparkles from 20:14, 25th Mar 2008 Shouldn't the de-anonymisation by done by someone else then and not the person who marked it/your tutor? The tutor handed the work back to us invidiually and personally. It defeats the object, surely? It does defeat the object, but that is what hap...

Quoting starsandsparkles from 15:50, 25th Mar 2008 I received an e-mail from my tutor just before a deadline reminding us to not put our names on our coursework, just our matriculation numbers so I did just that. I received it back today and it now has my name written across the top, which must've ...

The civil service fast stream asks for a 2.2 or above. They are more concerned with your ability to do the online tests and with who you are. I'm sure there must be some other similar schemes out there.

I'm not sure about other subjects, but in taught History Masters programs the diploma is usually awarded for the completion of the taught modules and the Masters is awarded on completion of the modules plus a dissertation.
