Re: The Raisin

They removed the jukebox and the pool tables, and as far as I know the game machines. They must be trying to change their customer base, but everybody I've spoken to has been disappointed with the change  I find it a little strange that they have felt the need to diversify to attract a diffe...

Re: Module Grades

What does everyone think of exam grades? Has anyone had a feeling that some of the works been graded "unfairly"? :( I've always wondered why people question the grading when they've not achieved the results they had wanted. Maybe it's down to the fact I did Mathematics and exams were a cl...

Re: Looking for a man

After taking the time to read your fascinatingly detailed beauty regime I have to admit to being slightly disappointed that you didn't include brand names. I wouldn't like to think that you go to all that effort only to use cheap deodorant, body spray and perfume. Seeing as how you have specified an...

Re: David Russell Studio Appartments photos/info?

The distance of DRA from the centre of town can be a major negative for a lot of people however there are a few positives. If you are studying at the North Haugh then it's not that far a walk. It's also in close proximity to the Sports Centre/Gym which is handy if you intend to use that on a regular...

Re: Looking for a man

Apparently James Bond isn't available and even if he was I doubt he'd fancy doing the cooking, washing and ironing for you. I really love the way you are looking for a man that's convenient and will fit in around your very busy and 'important' schedule. I get the impression you are very routine and ...

Re: A man, preferably nice

must we do this by posting its slooooow Obligatory Mod nagging: it'd go faster if you registered , and then I wouldn't have to keep approving all your posts all the time. :P Got to admit, I'm intrigued by the idea that this board might actually fulfill its stated function for once. ^ This. Oh, I thought you were going to come up with something a bit more challenging than just a statement of intent.

I guess I'll take the initiative and ask what else you have going for you other than your sparkling personality and ability to cause trouble with jager at a bar?

Re: A man, preferably nice

I know. The question now is are you as adventurous, daring and fun as you sound and willing to pursue your intrigue or are you just going to sit back and wonder?

Re: A man, preferably nice

So does that make you a leader or an instigator? You are almost threatening to reveal yourself as possibly quite fun. I never said I was a 'nice' man. I'm too adventurous, creative, exciting and unpredictable to be labelled as just 'nice'. If you are looking for 'nice', then you should chat to the th...

Re: A man, preferably nice

Wow - I wasn't expecting to be insulted! I work in science department and it takes up all my time because I allow it too. If I had something to entertain/do then I would take time out of PhD to do so. I am a genuinely nice person and I don't want someone to fit into my schedule. Relationships are a...

Re: A man, preferably nice

It is impossible to meet a nice man here. I am looking for someone to date then hopefully it will lead somewhere. PhD takes up all my time and when I do go out the men of this town never approach me! I am old fashioned in that I want to be approached not do the approaching. Where are all the nice m...

Re: New in Town!

If you are into photography then the town and surrounding areas offer plenty to shoot. Can't say I've seen too many photographers out and about when I've been carrying my gear. There is apparently a local society though which has a website at http://www.standrewsphotographicsociety.com/ where you sh...

Re: Meeting peole

Sounds like you are in much the same boat as me. I've always found that the best way to meet new people is to have something better to do than to meet new people. My choice was to rejoin the Sports Centre and hit the gym. Within a few weeks I was able to find new friends with similar interests which...

Re: Something with Linguistics - organising credits at honours

I think I can recall being told it was better to stack the deck against myself earlier rather than later as I may need the additional time for writing the dissertation. Either way though it should work out fine for you as long as you are well organised enough.
