Projects Abroad

I am looking round companies for something to do this summer and Projects Abroad has a project I really like the look of. The problem is you have to fork out £300 just to apply. The site seems vague on details about your place on a project being secured simply by applying, so can anyone tell me if t...

“That’s a duck, not a dick.”

Not even the appalling “acting” of Geena Davis could halt the unstoppable one-liner machine that was Mitch Henessey (Samuel L. Jackson) in the Long Kiss Goodnight.

Re:

Just go down to the Eden Clubhouse, near the driving range, with your student I.D and fill in the form. The staff are very helpful and the desk you need to go to is quite obvious. A digital photo of you is taken and the card issued immediately. Last year it was about £30 for the Strath and Balgove, ...

I remember the Penny Reds, it was before I came to St Andrews but I remember the culprits showing me the coverage it gained in The Saint.

How effective are these shakes at actually ‘bulking up’? Is that a lot of bulk added to your belly, or does it give you a more all over kinda bulk?

The finer points of a Degree.

Can anyone shed some light on the finer points of a degree for me? I plan to speak to an advisor about this soon, having been cancelled on twice, and if all you good good people can answer my queries for me I can cancel on my advisor (which is petty, I know.) Firstly, are certain honours modules com...

Does anyone else think that the food at the Vic is pretty poor? I once ordered ‘Southern fried chicken’ and got a piece of shallow fried chicken breast with BBQ sauce on top! A burger I had in there once was definitely deep fried- very suspect. Staff are decent enough though. I have found that if yo...

Some work, some play, makes Greg an employable boy.

I would like to join a Territorial Army unit to help bolster my CV, make friends, challenge myself etc, etc. I know that it’s a big commitment to make but one I am set on. If anyone has done this, or knows someone who has, it would be great to hear how you (or they) coped with the commitment, especi...

You’re in a library for Christ’s sake!

Does anyone else find it strange that two people would go and sit in one of the library study areas to have a full blown conversation, and then tut and harrumph when you politely ask them to be quiet? People have strange habits round here.
