Re: Where is the Sports Hall?

Between DRA and the chemistry buildings. Just walk up the lane that leads from new hall to DRA.

Re: Sheer ignorance and stupidity - RACISM

To be honest, after a drink or two, I don't think I would be able to tell the difference in the dark.

Re: Censorship

u13sk4 - don't call me half witted when you can't write a grammatically correct post, or even spell basic vocabulary correctly. You are behaving like a spoiled child - people don't react to your post as you would like them to, so you resort to mud flinging and name calling. Oh dear. That's hardly gr...

Re: Censorship

To me, this seems out of order. To slander someone in a public forum, who may not know about it, and who may not get an opportunity to defend themselves, seems like playground bullying. This person may have pissed you off, but to slag them off in such a public manner seems like something a child in ...

Re: Any advice? I'm so tired.

Is your fiancee a student too? Have you explained the situation properly? It sounds like too much is being asked from you, which you are currently unable to provide. Perhaps suggest a temporary postponement of the wedding until you can afford to meet the demands of the in-laws. If they realise it's ...

Re: Beware Union RBS cashpoint!

I had my card cloned twice from cash points in St Andrews. But Barclays refunded all my money. It was a bit of an arse, but they certainly were very fair. Now I only use cash points inside banks when possible.

Re: "For girls eyes only"

Yawn. I only wondered how it went. This has all become rather pedantic. For the record - *its* only has an apostrophe when short for *it is*. For example, "the dog is wagging its tail" does not need an apostrophe. Whilst this has become a board for pedants, I thought I'd just add my eggs t...

Re: Dropping a module grade at honours

student support can put pressure on your school, but at the end, it's entirely up to your school to make the decision.

Re: Dropping a module grade at honours

but when i tried to do that (because my dad nearly died and i had to miss several weeks of uni, so it was a really good reason) IR were really shitty about it, and my dissertation supervisor pretty much told me shit happens, you can't S-code. so it's really up to your school.

Re: Job Decisions

I think i could cope with teaching. I want to work in international development, but you need two year's field experience and an awful lot of luck to get into that, and one of the easiest routes to do that is to teach in developing countries with the VSO, which is where the teaching comes in. It's j...
