best thing to do is to find a good ftp site to join, costs some pennies but well worth the hassle. ive heard that 'tunneling programs' can make it through, or there's a student-run server that u can connect thru instead of resnet for a 5er a month, run off-campus - not sure if either of these works ...

buy yerself a pair of clippers for a tennr from boots, thats what i did, works out cheaper in the long run (just maek sure u keep em oiled)
