Re: Eurovision

My point is that it's really not something anyone should take seriously... It's far better that way. Otherwise, people just get bitter over the fact that every country is voting for it's favourite neighbour and there is often some form of teaming up against a "common foe", and the whole th...

Re: Eurovision

ok, so not once did i say i did not like eurovision. I love eurovision. I just dont think it should be made to be something its not. We will never win, and the quality of the singer and / or song will never make a difference. A music career will never be made great by eurovision. Lulu already had a ...

Re: Eurovision

THE most pointless programme ever, I admit to not watching it, so am no expert on the programme, but I do have many reason for not watching it. The eurovision song or artist will make NO difference whatsoever to our chances in the competition, and never will again as political voting is a certainty....

Re: Getting an essay appealed

......home to do in Reading week . Then some delightful little S*it recalled the books so I had to post them back almost straight away to make sure they got back in time (I dont trust Royal Mail!). Given that the university are endlessly reminding us Reading Week is not a holiday, dont you think co...

Re: Where can I get my dissertation bound?

You can get it bound in the general office at the union for a few pounds. They do it while you wait, takes about 2 minutes.

Re:

Its just such a shame that anyone who is not a fan of dance music will have nothing except the comedy and the ceilidh to go to this year. I'm all for changing the lineup of freshers week, but throughout the week there should be a variety, something to suit most tastes. Obviously you can never please...

Re:

Why the bloody hell would that make you in any remote way happy? Some people are bloody unbelievable. I am very glad that you are happy that these unhealthy people (and I know many of them have brought it on themselves, before anyone shouts me down)are increasing fuel crises and the price of food. Y...

Re:

Well done you for breaking it off! It often takes time, and doing things which may seem stupid afterwards, but not at the time, to see what has always been obvious to others. It sounds like you went through a really tough time, but are a stronger person because of it. well done

Re:

Dont believe all you read on Wikipedia! The trews were first worn by the english. I believe there is a similar gaelic word, most likely adopted by the englishmen who wore them to make them more authentic. The Scottish nobility started wearing them soon after their invention though.

Re:

also, I think the now "usual" kilt, as opposed the the plaid which goes round the shoulder was used for armies as it didnt slow them down as much. Wet kilts are very heavy! But Im not sure about this.

Re:

To be fair, trews are an english invention. I assume you are english? If not. maybe you should check up on scottish cultural history. Also, trews look ridiculously stupid, which is as good a reason as any to not wear them. Those people smiling at you? Are actually laughing.

Re:

Thats exactly what I think. Obviousy there are going to be problems if we have online voting as well as paper voting, but why on earth do we have paper voting at all?? Seems totally and utterly pointless to me. And candidates would still be able to run campaigns by talking to people outside the libr...

lol, did anyone else find it hilarious that a whole page of the saint was dedicated to the colour of the library carpet? What a waste of time reading, and more to the point, writing such a pointless article! (did provide much amusement as to why someone would bother writing an article on such a bori...
