Lots of rubbish

I'm moving out of my flat this weekend and already there has been a large amount of rubbish accumulated by my flatmates who have gone in the last couple of days. There will no doubt be a lot more once I've finished cleaning out my room, and I have no idea what to do with it all. Does anyone know of ...

Lost property from exams

In all the excitement of finally being free and getting outside as quickly as possible for my soaking, I left my jumper on the back of my chair in an exam in the sports hall on Wednesday. Does anybody have any idea of who I can call/where I can go to ask about getting it back? Thanks! :D

Re: Return Bus Fare to Edinburgh?

If you get the X59 which is much quicker than the X60 route (takes about an hour and 45 mins) it is £10.50 for a student return, and £11 for a normal return. Wow, massive saving there for us students. Much less hassle (and money) than taking the train though.

Lost essay!

I have been working on an essay for a few hours in Butts Wynd and as I was writing I kept hitting the "save" button along the way. I forgot that as I was working on a document that I had opened from an email attachment that I sent myself I needed to click "save as" button, so I d...

New watch battery?

So my watch has conveniently decided to die just before exams. Does anybody know of anywhere in St Andrews where you can get watch batteries replaced?

Re: Sore lips

Okay there Dr Emily - are you suggesting that I am in some way mentally deficient? That I cannot correlate the reduction and worsening of my own symptoms? Vaseline works for me for the reason I outlined in my post - i.e. it stops my lips from getting cold and drying out because it acts as a barrier...

Re: Sore lips

Vaseline doesn't work. People just think it works because it moistens your lips very temporarily, but after it wears off you'll find your lips are just as dry as before (if not drier). I have the same problem as you and what I've found that works the best is actually Chapstick. It's really cheap and...
