Dont give up! im from south africa and generally find people here very closed and unfreindly on first meeting. Just give them time and almost everyone will eventually talk to you, They just dont seem to like putting themselves out there! Unless you are trying to break into very particular circles *c...

They seem to be a bit hit and miss, several of my friends have had tatoos there and yes, some have bled and one has just faded so badly it looks like it was drawn on.

Ha! when i was a new student i didnt hear anything till i phoned them and emailed multiple times. then week before freshers they said i didnt get in. Not that i want to scare you or anything...
i did eventually get a space in a house with 2 lovely girls and the hostel is nice enough
