It's up to the landlord I'm afraid. If you send me your details I can pass them on to him.

Re: Anxiety and public speaking

If you're a Postgrad in Biology or any of the sciences (stretching as far as psychology) you can always check out BioNet. We have talks every 2 weeks in an informal setting and anyone can ask questions. Plus there's wine and cheese.

Re: How busy is St Andrews?

It's not too bad. Tourists are filtering away and students are filtering back.
Not sure about the Union pretty sure it's still open till 1am and 2am, I'm never the most sober person when I'm in there.

Re: cheap taxi sharing to Prestwick Airport on 1st July 2011

I'm pretty sure that the University Travel Service can offer you a Taxi to Prestwick for a good chunk of change less. I can't recall the exact price but I think it was in the region of £75 for one person one way, decreasing as more people went. You'd be best contacting travel services though, their ...

Re: The Dining Room

The food is good and reasonably priced, in my opinion. However the service leaves something to be desired. Slow doesn't really describe the speed at which they operate.

Re: Car in St. Andrews ... cost?

Petrol is about £1.30 and Diesel is about £1.40 at the moment, give or take a few pence either way. MOT's are generally around £50, provided your car passes with no repairs necessary, which rarely happens. If it fails it's MOT those issues will have to be fixed and then the car will have to have ano...

Re: iphone 4 reception in st andrews

I've had my iPhone 4 on Vodafone for about 4 months now and never had any issues with it in St Andrews. In fact the only issue I've ever had with Vodafone signal in St Andrews is when they decide to work on the mast and then the entire signal went down for a couple of days. That and the new medical ...

I finally managed to get an answer from them too. I especially like this bit "You can call our customer service on 191 free from your phone to check the status of the fault" Hi Andrew, Hope you are doing well, I understand that it is really very frustrating when there is poor netwo...

Re: Vodafone

A prompt reply, but sadly nothing of use and a hard reset and the changing operator trick were already tried on sunday evening. Good morning Andrew, I've read your email and can understand that you're unable to use your mobile phone due to loss of coverage. Andrew, I apologise for any inconvenience ...

Re: Vodafone

Reading papers and articles got boring so I decided to fire off a quick email to Vodafone to see if I could get any response. I'll post a reply if they get back to me. The free text day from T-Mobile sounds interesting although since I have 600mins and unlimited texts anyway it would be a bit of a u...

Garage

Anyone got any advice on good garages / garages to avoid in St Andrews. My cars up for MOT in a month and I really don't fancy driving back to Leeds to get it done there. The cars nothing speciaal, typical student banger.

Thanks in Advance, Andy. :D
