Re:

If Alex DOES have a lot of money it is because he is a prodigious fundraiser. Alex has put in a lot of skill and effort into his career and his successes should be applauded.

Re:

Best place to do research is: http://www.natives.co.uk/ But more importantly, you need to consider a few things: ->What level of a skier are you and what are you interested in? For advanced/off piste skiers would prefer different mountains than boarders who like parks, etc. ->What type of work are y...

Re:

The storms over the weekend brought an extremely strong onshore breeze- it is quite rare for a storm of that strength and that wind direction, so that could explain it. This is coming from a sailor who knows nothing about wildlife.

Depends if you want to judge workload or intellectual rigour. Workload of Maths was minimal. The hardest working people I have met were the Biochemists. There are only 10 or so per year, and you rarely meet them because they work so hard. I knew some students who in final year put 40 hour weeks in t...

I spoke with the librarian recently. There is a £15 million library investment program currently being drafted. This will be done over the course of a few years, and will potentially involve expansion into the old crawford arts building, resulting in a 25%-30% increase in floor space. A huge number ...

Quoting dardar from 17:07, 22nd Nov 2006 Sabs are geeks, and, in general, not very good at sport (except the AU Sab who is a fine figure of a man). Most of them are loopy. They drink lots of coffee, and try to do good stuff for you every day... like this... http://www.yourunion.net/news/index.php?p...

Re:

Why don't you try joining the Mountaineering club? It isn't terribly expensive to join, and you would likely find a number of people with similar interests. I think they do organise trips to dundee (could be wrong on this...). They also have twice-weekly sessions on the wall in the Sports Centre.......
