yeah, they had wifi in the lab last year so im pretty sure they still have it. You have to be a Comp. Sci student though to get into the lab.

Sorry for confusing some of you. I was talking crap about Forbes. I have no idea whether it still exists in DRH. However, I'm 100% sure they have a Forbes block in DRA. I think the whole issue came up when someone said that he/she was in FS34 (or something like that). No clue what that means.

The night porter will be around near the reception area. I'm sure if you explain that you arrived late he'll let you into your room. If he's not there it most probably means he's doing something somewhere in the hall, just wait for him at the reception desk.

First you put the name of the hall followed by the name of the block together with your flat and room number. Here's an example:

DRA, Scott 0902
Buchanan Gardens
St. Andrews, Fife

They overbook every year. That's why no one likes the acc. office. However, I'm sure you'll get a place in another hall once the SYA and JYA students are gone. Don't worry to much about it just make sure you remind the acc. office about your situation so that they remember to do something about it.

I'd say you should just relax. The university says a lot of shit just to stress you out. eg. you have to matriculate on a certain day, etc. It's all bullshit. Forbes is divided into two blocks, forbes low and forbes high (I think low is rooms 1-24 and high is rooms 26 - 50, i'm not 100% sure about the number of rooms per block). I think there are four finnished blocks at the moment. The rest will be built in the next couple of years. As far as I know every block has 11 flats.
