Re:

I hate to be negative but I detested Art History. Perhaps because it was all new to me. Within two weeks I had to give a 30 minute seminar paper, slide tests just went way over my head and the lectures bored me to tears. Social Anthropology was another awful one. I think it all boils down to what yo...

Re:

I agree, Amaunet's list was a general one. I presume number 5 applies once an meeting has taken place. At least that's what I understood from the post.

Don't worry too much. I only found parents the Wednesday before Raisin Weekend! I now have a rather large extended family - it'll all work out in the end.

I didn't start the argument and as of this post I am through with it. I did read this post through but never mind. You have made your mind up and who am I to interfere?

Re:

Well could you point out for me the bit where I was being defensive? All I did was point out something. The bit about registered vs unregistered users was a general thing as it seems to be popping up across the sinner boards lately. I apologise if I have caused you offence in any way. As I'm sure Ol...

Re:

Ummm....correct me if I'm wrong, perhaps I'm not quite following here but was this thread not started by an unregistered user who, apparently has been saying much the same in the chatroom? Therefore telling the registered users not to bring their 'feuds' in here is a bit off. RaphX was merely pointi...

Impossible?

According to the 'fascinating fact' on my Penguin biscuit it is impossible to lick your elbow.

Anybody think they can prove the biscuit wrong?

Re:

I know how you feel - I didn't know anybody in St Andrews. It's not exactly a common choice for people from my school! If you're sharing a room then you will already have somebody. I woke up on my fist morning to find that my room mate hadn't returned and I was all on my own. I was feeling a bit sor...

Oh dear indeed! I also have to agree that Kochanski ruined the series. A much as I would love to be proven wrong I fear that this film is going to disappoint!

Re:

Well it would seem things are finally getting underway. I'm a bit skeptical about the whole thing though. I mean, TV shows don't generally make a successful transition to the big screen do they? I'm scared they're gonna ruin one of my favourite sitcoms!

Re:

Well for me getting put in Sallies was pure luck - I just answered the questions on the form! The warden explained to me once that she got to look at all the applications and tried to match people up as room mates from their intrests and such. She said she was inclined to pass over those who wrote o...

Re:

I was in Sallies last year (my first). I have to say that I thought it was fantastic. Being one of the older halls it has quite a few traditions. Also, as a small hall you get to know who everyone is after a while. As for Americans, I know there are quite a few returning next year - all of them are ...

Well, I have a list! Pat Barker's Regeneration trilogy Pride and Prejudice the Beatrix Potter books (childhood favourites!) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - the other four cannot match this one. Undoubtedly the best. Captain Correllis Mandolin Moab is my Washpot - Stephen Fry's biography G...
