Re:

Is it The Well of Loneliness? Radclyffe Hall? There's an article here on it http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0403/is_n4_v40/ai_16984596 I might be confused though, I'm in the middle of my own essay of doom and not much is making sense any more. Good luck with yours. [hr] I meant what I sai...

Re:

I've lived in Fife Park for three years and we've never really had a problem with this. We usually get emails warning us if workmen will be calling, and the DRA staff that carry out cleaning checks and maintenance have always been lovely. I had one of those random checks recently but I think those h...

Re:

Well, I’m on the committee so I guess I’ll post. The lack of social events is probably more my fault than anyone else’s, as I am social convenor. I became social convenor by default, I was an ordinary member I suggested staging social events in Freshers week and social convenor I became. How much mo...

Re:

I’ve been vegetarian for years and if I’m feeling run down I take a herbal liquid iron supplement called Floradix for a while, you can get it at the health shop. I think it really helped my mum a few years ago when she was quite anaemic. That said you might just want to take the tablets because you ...

Hey, just thought I'd say wander over from the Fife Park message board and say hi, really because I told Tom I would earlier this evening!

Re:

Hey sorry about that, was either a thursday or sunday and I think loads of people have course work in this and next friday. However, perhaps you can take solace in the fabulous glittery leaflets you shall all soon be receiving! i.e. as soon as the glue dries. [hr]I do not like green eggs and ham I d...

Fife Park Christmas Pub Quiz

We’re going to have a free pub quiz this Sunday in the Whey Pat back room at 8pm for all Fife Park residents. There will of course be exciting prizes, taxing questions and the possibility of free sandwiches (still working on that will get back to you all). Leaflets shall be distributed tomorrow once...

Re:

Yeah, if anyone has ideas of things they'd like to see then feel free to give the committee a shout. We are a bit limited at the moment as Fife Park has no communal areas and you can't really rely on the weather at this time of year, but we're very open to suggestions. As to the original topic, I re...

Re:

Eek, forgot to login. Please ignore other post.
We've been thinking about something later in the week but it would probably depend on the weather. Sorry about that, I'd imagine there'll be a barbeque later in the term though so you'll still get your punch!

Re:

I spent a fair bit of time on the phone to my LEA and the SLC trying to confirm this last week. If you are talking to anyone at the SLC use the term 'final year fee assistance' otherwise they think you're talking about assessed tuition fee contributions. I don't know what it's like if you're from En...

Re:

There is indeed a payphone, actually there may be two. They're near the laundry and sort of behind a shed. Incase you don't know, the laundry is near the building site. There are two doors behind the shed and there's a phone behind at least one of them, or at least there was in June. They would be h...

Re:

I'm sure something could be sorted out if there was enough demand. I think the idea of slogans on t-shirts/ sweatshirts is a good one, I'm not too sure how many people I know who'd want a Fife Park rugby shirt!

I'm not in house 13 but I will be in 15 (for the 3rd year!). I don't know about the inside of 13 but it's in one of the better positions, as far away from the building work as you can get! Room 2, if your set up is like ours, should be a decent sized room which looks out over a field. Feel free to d...

I just asked at the reception and apparently someone should be coming to fix it fairly soon. So maybe someday soon we will not be forced to walk to the sports center in search of Cadburys.

If you want to come over sometime after four that should be grand. Again I suspect I'll be in for most of the evening and if not I'm sure anyone who's here wouldn't mind showing you about.
