Quoting fran from 14:57, 9th Jun 2007 Quoting amac from 13:43, 9th Jun 2007 What does it mean when the status is ' Interrupted - to Graduate'. What the hell was interrupted? I think it's normal. I think your "full time student status" is interrupted. ALthough that sounds odd.... Indeed, I don't see...

Quoting fran from 09:41, 9th Jun 2007 What does it mean if it says "eligible for the award of" and then a degree classification? Does that mean they still haven't decided cause I'm a special case or is that what they put for everyone? I just want to know now! It means that that's the degree you are...

I've never seen Amelie, or Gladiator, or Pulp Fiction, or The Godfather. But I'm not sure why I should just because everybody else has. I have idiosyncratic taste, and I'm proud of that.

I like the London Underground idea, where everyone comes as a station. I suppose it could be adapted to other things. It's better if you're doing written invitations though, because you can send people the station they have to come as.

Hiring is so expensive. If you're planning to use a DJ more than once, you should think about buying one. eBay can be particularly bargainous for a classic vintage dinner suit.

Quoting Steveo from 10:14, 10th Apr 2007 If you go vegetarian, you have to accept the consequences of your actions and accept the sub-par offerings. Why should you? In my experience, vegetarians are usually much more interesting/adventurous cooks than everyone else, I think because a lot of people ...

Maundy Thursday

Easter Triduum: Maundy Thursday 7.30pm St James' Church, The Scores. Mass followed by procession and reposition of the Blessed Sacrament to the Altar of Repose. Adoration until 11pm. What exactly does this all mean? What's a "triduum" and a "maundy"? And how exactly does one partake in an "adoratio...

I found this terribly complicated to communcate to the Student Loans company. They understood eventually. You should get a leaflet through from the university explaining how to do it, so hold off applying til you get that.

No doubt they'll be collecting for Comig Relief... but there's a problem with charity law in giving some of the bop band money to another charity, since the union itself is supposed to be a charity.

Graduation Day Confusion

Anyone know what the deal is with subjects where you can have students in both arts and science? I thought that they would graduate seperately, because your particular dean had to be there and they grouped arts and science together in to sessions. I'm studying psychology, and being in the science fa...

University of Helsinki is notoriously hard to get in to, as are some of the others I believe. Everyone wants to go to university, so only the best and the brightest pass the entrance exam. It's good that their education gets paid for, but you've got to really earn your place in that education system...
