Re:

Speaking as a former society President, there are problems with some of your suggestions. Firstly, unless the Students' Association has got a new projector (I'm in Tsukuba, Japan, so I can't confirm or not), I don't think you could connect the Union projector to a computer, unless some technical iss...

Re:

Well, Project Anime did show Metropolis at the beginning of the 2002/2003 session. This was the 2001 version, which was released in the UK at around the end of August 2002 (I know this, as we used my DVD player and my copy of Metropolis). Some people, however didn't appear to like it - but hey, peop...

Dee, if the society were to show Lain or you were to borrow it off of the VP, remove all sanity before watching it. It's strange and a bit of a head****! Re:

OK, here's some suggestions I've got for manga series: Love Hina - I've got 4 out of the 14/15 parts of the translated. I may get the Japanese version, as I saw a place where I could get all 15 parts for 3,150 Yen. Pita Ten - I've got all 8 parts of the Japanese manga and I remember the anime was fu...

Re:

Didn't the University attempt a similar stunt to this in 2001, threatening to up the rents in Fife Park and Albany Park by 30% in one fell swoop? I do note the irony when it mentions that University has some of the cheapest accommodation in the UK and that the University wants to bring this to an en...

If you're wondering why neds are such tossers, maybe you should think of what 'ned' stands for as an abbreviation - Non-Educated Delinquent or someone who acts like such!

Well, the flight wasn't too bad, although I spent about 40 minutes in the Immigration queue at Narita airport, due to new Immigration controls. In Tsukuba, where I'm staying is just across the road from a cluster of electronics/electrical stores called Ishimaru World. I've got a couple of manga (Pit...

Re:

Ah, I see that the kiddies Dee and Rezo are discussing ways of wiping each other out! Ho, Hum! Dee, if you want to destroy Rezo, you'd need a somewhat more personal way of doing it. That way, you can see for yourself that the dirty deed is done! Also, with bombs or airstrikes, you should really be i...

My experiences with Final Fantasy games

Me, I've only just started Final Fantasy X-2. I got a Pre-owned copy of FFX2, along with a Pre-owned PS2 and memory card in WonderGoo, Tsukuba, Japan for about 21,600 Yen (110 pounds) It's going to take some time getting used to, as it is in Japanese. There's supposed to be an International version ...

Hail Ilpalazzo!

Well, I had the viva today (December 16th) and the viva examiners will recommend to the University that I be awarded the degree of PhD. Now, I have to do some very minor corrections (effectively typos and amend one statement in the thesis) and that'll finish that! So, I am elevated to the righteous ...

Hmm, that's an interesting one for Dee to be the moderator of the board. I think he had the infamous pleasure of being the 1st registered Sinner user to get a message deleted from the message board, just after loveridge took over as moderator. Dee's message was in response to me saying what stuff is...

1st anniversary of the message board

So, the Project Anime message board has been around for 1 year! Over 500 messages and I think we're onto the 3rd moderator. I was the first ever moderator, then loveridge took over in May and it's '?' (I hope there is a current moderator - the person who keeps the board free of spam, hentai, other n...

Re:

Hmm, where would I fit in on this line? Maybe as an almost-veteran. Age-wise, I'm 6 months away from 29 and the first time I saw anime was when I was young and the BBC showed Battle of the Planets in its Children's BBC time-slot (I didn't equate it as anime at the time but then my age was probably o...

Well, Dee, there are two places: A) There's United Publications, which is where I got Slayers Next. They can be located at http://www.up1.co.uk B) Alternatively, there's PLAY at http://www.play.com. Re:

If you want to find out about Now and Then, Here and There, the evil one, Rezo would know all about it! I ended up watching the whole 13 episodes of it when he showed me the series in multi-hour anime showings. We showed Nadesico in 2000-2001 session and just recently, the last DVD of the region 2 v...

You don't need such stuff to analyse Dee. You'd probably get a better idea of him if you look more closely in previous threads of this message board.

Who's your Favourite 8-Bit Theatre character?

This is just a bit of frivolity with one question to those people who have seen the online comic 8-Bit Theatre at http://www.nuklearpower.com. It is based on the characters from the game Final Fantasy (the 1st ever FF game) There are 6 main characters Fighter - Strong but a dimbo Thief - Not as stro...
