HELP!!!

I just spend an hour typing something up and I was almost finished when the window randomly closed itself- just like that. I've no clue what happened. Is there any way I could find it again on a computer room computer? I really can't believe this. :(

Read this and weep

Time once again to review the winners of the Annual "Stella Awards." The Stella Awards are named after 81 year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled hot coffee on herself and successfully sued McDonald's (in N.M.). That case inspired the Stella Awards for the most frivolous, ridiculous, successful lawsuits...

Question about exams

The people who (because they are dyslexic etc) write their exams on a computer, when is that? At the same time as the rest of their course or is there one specific day where all who are allowed to use a PC due a medical condition etc have their exams, no matter what they study?

Re:

Quoting munchingfoo from 00:10, 5th Dec 2006 Well, if you put something in quotation marks it has to be exactly what the person wrote/said. If you paraphrase inside quotation marks (Which is what I thought you were on about) then thats obviously bad since its not a quote and may not be exactly what...

Re:

Quoting munchingfoo from 21:38, 4th Dec 2006 I'd have thought the issue with what you mention is that paraphrasing is a misquote and could be used out of context. [hr] Tired Freudian references aside - your mother played my mighty skin flute like a surf crowned sea nymph trying to rouse Poseidon fr...

OH MY GOD!

Has anyone ever taken the academic fraud test on the SALTIRE website? I DID SO POORLY!!! It's shocking how so many things that I did not consider plagiarism are. I believed that if you reference something and obviously use quotations marks and paraphrase it you'd be fine. I really simply didn't know.

I believe that some here will disagree completely with me on this one, but.... this is not one, but two lives wasted. What must have happened (or not happened to you) in order for you to be so violent (senselessly violent) and full of rage that you kill in the way the second Thomas did?!? I don't be...

What's an IP address?

I just found a really awful mistake on Wikipedia and would like to edit the page to correct it. But it says that I don't have an account so that people will be able to see my IP address. I don't even know what that is though... *blush*
Could someone explain, please?

Classroom computers

Odd question, I know: But is there any way I can disable the internet function on classroom computers and still be able to see and work on my documents? I keep procrastinating- it's simply to easy.
