There have been plenty of publications which operate from people's houses, rooms or even out of sheds. Moving from one location to another doesn't shut down a publication. I don't think so actually - the Saint has increased its quality and performance dramatically in the last couple of years. And there are far fewer mistakes in the recent issues than ever before.

Still a way to go, but they've come along way since 'your day'.

At the risk of perpetuating this thread, I think it should be pointed out that The Saint is the original independent student newspaper in St Andrews, and as it's still independent, The Robe should change its tagline.

The Union is far too responsible to be associated with a free bar. It's too much of a risk to their licence.
