Bake sale

Should have posted this earlier, I suppose, but the women's football club is having a bake sale outside the library to raise money for our team. You can donate whatever you've got, and get homemade brownies, chocolate chip cookies, croissants, donuts, oranges, chocolate. . . So get down to the libra...

Re:

well, from my research (and reading the sinner), it seemed like everything was one big party. and it certainly isn't. . . so i think they've got a reason to be a little miffed.

Re:

I ducked then too! And in the spider scene, I started inching backward in my seat to get away from them. despite the fact that they were all the way across the theatre and on a fucking screen, for god's sake. . .

Re:

I'm on the same flight I think, or at least one at a similar time. I was planning to go into Edinburgh the night before and stay at a hotel near the airport, so you might want to try that. However, I may end up taking a taxi, and if so, I can let you know if you say what your email is. my st andrews...

Re:

I just got back, and it was really good. Lovely, old-school Bond, full of gadgets, sinister evil guys, and totally improbable events. Not to mention the girls-- Halle Berry is awesome. SO much better than The World is not Enough.

but hey, at least it's a good thing that so many Americans are against this type of scary fundamentalism. Even if they are too stupid to realize it's a joke. . .

Re:

now isn't that kind of pointless? i mean, the only people who are going to potentially be interested will need to know japanese, and that's definitely a small population here in st andrews. why restrict yourself, if you want to form an evil hello kitty religious cult? it's time to take over the worl...

Re:

yeah, Gore won by popular vote, but not by electoral vote. Pointless really, they were both complete idiots. The problem I have with this poll is that chimps are intelligent, cute, charming creatures who shouldn't be maligned by being compared to the ineffable Dubya. Insult to chimpkind, that one.

no, check out one of the big modern ones (like new hall) and one of the centre of town 'traditional' ones, so you get a sense of what both types are like.

Re:

as for the real Ivies like Harvard, Yale, etc., it's upwards of 36K if you include room and board. I think it makes sense, to some extent, to pay more for a better education. The danger is that you'll end up doing what the US has done, where you might pay 36K for an Ivy, but you might also pay that ...
