Re:

And what exactly defines a so called 'third class' university? Is Stirling for example a 3rd class uni? Or perhaps Dundee? And where do 2nd class unis fit into this? Geez, if it aint bad enough placing class labels on people, then the press and people like you have to put labels on institutions as w...

Re:

She follows a formula that obivously works! How else would you end the Harry Potter books?? It has to end the way it does to lay the paving stones for the next book. Remember, the books aren't separate from each other, they are all part of a series and therefore all have to flow together.

Re:

How on earth did you get on the set morf?

And about recieving a letter from JKR about the Rector position...that is spooky. Maybe it was delivered by good old fashioned owl post :-) Shame she didn't agree to be our rector though. :-( What were her reasons?

Re:

Good to see that the people who have posted on this like the books better than the films! I love the books myself, and like the films but the films could never capture the true feelings of the books. Can't wait for Book 6 or POA film though! :-)

Re:

Just now I've been trying to get through Tommy Sheridan's 'Imagine' (which is pretty good) and 'Gormenghast' so that I can start 'Eragon' and 'My Own Heart is My Own'! Can't want to start them!!

Harry Potter - love or loathe?

Hey everyone

Since JKR always seems to be in the news for some reason, I was curious to find out what the general student body actually thinks of the either JKR or her creation, Harry Potter. Do you love the boy wizard or do you want to ram that wand hard up his arse?

I just wondered what other people call themselves. If your from Wales do you call yourselves Welsh or British? Same for the...

Tutorial work - waste of time or valuable?

Hey all I've been working quite hard this week and just thought to myself that people would probably do much better on there essays and stuff if they didn't have to prepare so much stuff for their tutorials. I think that tutorials are valuable but maybe the tutor shoudn't make you do lots of reading...
