Wait a minute, you mean the point of university isn't to get drunk?!

Re:

Our hall computers are supposedly set up so that programs can't be installed but whoever did it failed to realise that you can do it as long as you put a shortcut on the desktop, oops. Don't know which bright spark thought up that one.

Re:

I don't think income based assessment is a good way to go though. Student loans are income assessed and a lot of people get completely screwed over which leads to a lot of trouble later as me and many of my mates have found out.

Re:

Personally I think The SSP's policies are a load of crap but will do well because of all the gullible people that will vote for them believing that they can put these policies into effect. It sounds nice in theory but can anyone see any of these policies actually working in practise? A couple of exa...

The issue number can be left blank as a lot of switch cards (Royal Bank of Scotland ones for example) don't have an issue number so its not really important.

Re:

We didn't have a microwave on our floor in Uni Hall so we each put £1 towards it. Seeing as there are at least 30 people on the floor that worked quite well.

No big deal really.

No guys I know find any of the Sex & the City women sexy, but thats not the pooint of the show. The point is for us to watch and feel happy because our lives are so much better. And as for rugby players, loads of guys at my school played rugby and they were all fairly decent guys. The rugger buggers...

Re:

The contracts will not be issued until after the 25th April. Only after then will accommodation know how many people are not taking up their places in hall. You'd think they would ask people who have a flat for next year that won't be needing their hall place to let them know before then. It would b...

Re:

Does anyone know if anyone has ever not been accepted back into hall but has successfully managed to get back in?

And if so how did they go about it? So far accommodation services have been nothing but unhelpful.

Re:

I know at the moment it's pretty harsh for people in flats but I'd like to know how on earth they decide who will go back into halls ( randomly apparently). I cannot afford to live in a flat. I do not have enough money. I barely have enough money to be able to afford my hall rent but at least then I...
