No the fact you think is that is pretty creepy though.
Some of the best relationships come out of strong friendships so if that is what you are both interested in it could be good.
If however you just want sex then it is bad to do it with someone who is such a good friend as someone will almost certainly develop stonger feelings and if they aren't reciprocated it will all end in tears as Cain said.
Do you really want to risk your relationship for just sex? If it was a relationship you were after you probably wouln't be worrying it was just because you wanted sex - just a thought.

I disagree. I have a guy friend that I've known since I was five. He's like my brother. It would just be too weird to try and look at him in a sexual way.
