Would you recommend any in St Andrews?

Thanks in advance

The optometrist (sp?) on south street- next to rock sensations - is very helpful and personal...and generally cheaper than most.

The Optometrist opposite Tesco is good too. I'd definitely recommend him!

Yes, I would second that - everyone I've dealt with there has been incredibly helpful.

Don't go to Dolland and Aitchison, they are the worst of the lot, in my experience.

Like any service, if you want a more personalised, often friendlier service, go to an independent. The practice opposite Tesco have been very good at repairing my glasses free of charge when I've popped in, even though I'm not a patient of theirs. Likewise, the people at the place on South St have also been friendly when I've been in looking at frames.

I disagree. I'm with D&A and found them nothing but helpful and the staff are really nice.

I went into several opticians, and I found D&A to be the worst. :-)

That would be Govan's Opticians and yes they are very good. Being a local I have been a patient of theirs since I woz very small and cannot fault their helpfulness and value for money

i use Specsavers in nearby Dunfermline (where i used to live) but there are also shops in Dundee and Glenrothes if you want a highly professional service.

Cheap too! (Yes like the budgie!)
