Does anyone know the opening times for Angels on South Street? Whenever I go psat, it's always shut.

Tuesday - Saturday.

Dunno the hours but most piercers work on a early afternoon 'til five basis.

I believe it's been closed recently for the people who run the place to fuck off and get married :D

Didn't someone say on another thread that it's closed for a holiday at the moment?

They went on holiday to aus. Opens from 11am (tatoo bookings usually from 11.30) and they normally go on until around five.
As above, tue-sat.

Another thing - do you need to have a booking, or can you just waltz in and get a piercing?

You can just waltz in most of the time :-)

You're giving me notions to get another ear piercing now :-P

How much did it cost? I wanted to get my ear done, but don't know the prices.

They're back now - I'd go anytime between 12 and 5 pm, Tuesday-Saturday.

Are they any good for tattoos?
I've heard some horror stories (losing colour etc.) and not sure whether i should just wait and get it done when back home.

Surely it's the other way around? Gun is normally less expensive.

Needle is better, though.

You'd be better off going somewhere else, honestly. I got a smallish tattoo on my hip there, only an outline at the time, and it scarred horrendously. John's a great guy, but he goes in too deep and it will almost always scar. I had to get it completely redone, taking over 3 hours and cost me $300 to do back home in the states. My boyfriend got his done at Angels too, and also needed a complete redo.

So basically, I would advise waiting!

I got a tattoo in Angels a few years ago and it was perfect - never had any problems with it and losing colour is hardly a horror story (you're probably going to have colour livened up in a couple of years anyway - however, 3 years on and I haven't had to do mine yet). A friend of mine got two tattoos done there too, a year after I did, and she's never had problems either. I was really pleased with how they redrew my original design too. I highly recommend them.

I know that tattoos lose their colour after a bit, but the guy i heard about lost most of his colour after less than a year.

You're the first happy tattoo customer I've heard of, but to be fair I've not heard of many.

i got my back tattoo done at angels, and have never had a problem with it. some people are just not cool enough for tattoos, and their body rejects it.
