I hope you are all having a nice holiday! I am looking to buy an electric piano that can plug into my computer so I can record my music etc. Now bearing in mind Switzerland is limited in such items, I have found one that has a MIDI connection to the computer (not USB as I would have liked). Now, my computer (Sony (i dont have the model in front of me, but it is the silver/white one with the built in webcam - a year old), has a hole for the MIDI cable, but someone ^mumbled something about needing a certain sound card? does anyone know if my computer is compatable for MIDI and I can simply plug in the piano and off it goes recording what I play?
