Roller Blading!

Postby Idealist on Thu Aug 25, 2005 11:48 am

I'm quite keen to get myself a set of blades as I used to love roller blading and am currently exhausting ways I can get fit but not bored. Only problem is I dont want to look like an arse! So two questions...
Will I look like an arse?
If so where should I vanish to so that I don't?

C'heers!

Let the good people of St.Andrews be the judges of whether or not you (will) look like an arse. Once you start doing it you probably won't care either way.

see i thought about roller blading to class, but then really thought about it.
Either:
I would humiliate and undoubtidly injure myself clambering up and down building and lecture theatre stairs. If I ever happened to be late for a lecture, then I think my subtle entrance might be blown by the clatter of roller blade wheels!

Or:

I could remove the blades as I get to class, but by the time I change my shoes combined with the inconveniece of carrying an extra pair of shoes around I think that the whole effort might be a bit counterproductive!

So I'm thinking the road beside West sands lol!

We laughed for ages at that one, although, we were wasted at the time. :p

The sidewalk down from DRA into the edge of town was pretty good. As was the road to DRA from Melville.
As to class and everything, just bring a pair of flipflops. You'll have cold feet for the minute or so it takes to get into class, but it's easy.

Good luck trying to rollerblade on the abundant cobbled streets that are throughout St Andrews

I'd just get a bike mate

Did they ever make any those roller-blade shoes that were actually small and attractive enough to wear?
