Boots would be unlikely, but any of the health food stores (which we now have several) will carry them.

Edit: You're right actually, Holland and Barrett seems to have a larger and healthier seeming choice.

I did go to boots, I never really thought about the health shops I'll check their products out next time. I must say not the most pleasant product for taste. I don't know about bulking up, I just don't want to lose anymore weight so hopefully this will do the trick if I can face drinking it.

I recommend strawberry flavour mixed with orange juice.

If you want to put on weight, you might try to find the ever elusive carbohydrate shake. A friend of mine wanted to put on some quick mass because he was very, very skinny and had some good results for a few weeks.

How effective are these shakes at actually ‘bulking up’? Is that a lot of bulk added to your belly, or does it give you a more all over kinda bulk?

the protein bars are probably better, they sell them at karate, and if you get the right flavour they're actually bearable. the chocolate ones are okay if i remember rightly. and also, creatine caps are great if you're gonna go to the gym, they increase your stamina so when you're tired your body doesn't feel it as mucha dn you can go longer. they also make you put on weight if you don't exercise, but be careful not to take too many cause then it will do bad things to your heart

weight loss

Postby Tigger on Mon Mar 12, 2007 7:59 am

It doesnt actually matter what you eat, or how much of it. now i know this will recieve lots of "well informed" answers arguing the tits off me, but ill tell you what my dietician said, (which i had for 4 years)
he said, A: your metabolism controls your weight.
B:to lose weight you increase your metabolism, and vice versa.
C: to increase your metabolism you eat small meals regularly, with protein and low carb/low fat. this in turn will increase your metabolism, (lots of small meals trains the body into burning calories faster)
therefore the opposite is true.
if you want to stop losing weight, eat three times a day. dont snack, dont eat before your going to go and run around all day. control the calorie intake and eat carbo and protein in the way of pasta, fish, and potatoes. you wont lose weight if your metabolism settles down. oh, and also, when it does settle down, you will start putting weight on quickly. about 5-6 pounds every month or so. its finding the happy medium.
anyways, im writing an essay. allegedly.
