external hard drive

Hey, I'm interested in buying an external hard drive for my desktop PC. Are there any particular brands or types I should go for?
I've heard a couple of people recommend Western Digital MyBook's, however I've read some bad reviews about them on Amazon.
I'd preferably be going for a 320 or 500GB, and under £100.

I've bought a Western Digital hard drive off Amazon and have had no problems with it so far. Really good value too.

I've just bought the 500GB western digital myBook. Lets hope it works without a glitch for me, and I'm not one of the unfortunate ones that have faced problems with it.

But the MS-Spunk system is often riddled with viruses, even before release. It is recommended that use protection, some sort of firewall that protects against memory leaks and kills any stray data packet.
