I would def agree, go to glasgow.
Edinburgh doesn't have a apple store per se, but they have service support network and the service support is in an industrial estate in netwongrange so extremely difficult to get there via public transport.
Take a trip to glasgow I say!
Seconded. I made a trip all the way out to Newtongrange to pick up my Mac (~40 minute bus from Edinburgh city centre followed by a 1.5 mile walk) because I'd been told it was ready. When I got there, however, I was told it would take another fortnight to repair! I then had to contact them to ask if it was ready, even though they had assured me they would contact me.
In short, terrible service, appalling communication and a decidedly inconvenient location.
