IR Dissertation form

I'm doing single honours, so it's required that i do a dissertation. The problem is today the forms have to be handed in and i haven't decided the topic, so what happens if i don't hand it in? In the booklet it just says i'll be allocated a tutor much later, but does that mean i will just get allocated one and not be able to put choices forward?

Would i be able to change my topic completely if i did hand in the form today? Would that mean that i could change tutors or would i have to stay with the one i had despite choosing a different topic to what they specialise in?

I'm sure you could change your topic later - or just mention a broad idea/area that you are interested in, explaining what interests you with it and possible ways you could go about it, and I'm sure that'll be fine.
