How busy is St Andrews?

Coming up to scotland for a wedding this weekend, gonna be in St Andrews for a night or two - how busy is it at the moment? Many students filtering back or is still just locals/tourist?

Also, is the union doing its term time opening hours yet or is it closing early?

It's not too bad. Tourists are filtering away and students are filtering back.
Not sure about the Union pretty sure it's still open till 1am and 2am, I'm never the most sober person when I'm in there.

I am not currently in St Andrews so cannot comment on how busy it is.

Looking at the frontpage of the website http://www.yourunion.net/ the blue box suggests the bar opens at 7pm every night except sunday.

Well, term has begun proper (Freshers' Week anyhow) so the place is flooded with students once again.
