Sun-holiday destinations?

Hi all,

My friends and I are planning an 8-man sun holiday for 2 weeks of June. We've worked out the following criteria:

1. Beaches. Need beaches.
2. Need a Microwave.
3. Want to stay in a Villa, not hotel/hostels
4. It must not be Ibiza/Aya-Napa/anywhere too tacky.
5. The proposed villa must be within walking distance of party-central.

We had been thinking about Crete, but one of the guys doesn't want to go to Crete for some reason- has heard it's crap. Personally I'm fairly open-minded, but I don't think I'd fancy Ibiza etc. I mean- 10 years ago Ibiza would have been great.. but I have my doubts about it now...

Cavos maybe? Corfu?

I'd appreciate any suggestions/advice. Cheers.

My sis went to Zante in the summer and they had a really great time with all of your above criteria. Plus they got it last minute and it was fairly cheap!

zante is great! i went there with a load of friends a couple of years back - it's got the drinking scene, but also has lovely beaches, and cool things to do (go and see the shipwreck, and swim with the caretta caretta turtles). although we got a really cheap deal to stay all inclusive in a funky hotel, the apartments looked nice, and pretty much everything is central to the main pub/club road

my sister, however, has been to alicante a couple of times, and loves it. to be honest - it'll be the people you're with who make the holiday worth while - get the best deal you can with a central apartment, and save the money for the alcohol

why not go somewhere in mainland spain, i know its abit over done but you'd have a wicked time in the south.
I was in puerto banus for the summer and it was aweosme. they've got fanatstic beaches all down that coast and you can find some good villa deals as well.
the clubbings decent too, and gibralter is only down the road so you could fly in and out of there and pick up some unbeliveably cheap booze, or cigs or whatever.
defo give it a look.

go to malta for a holiday they have great beaches, everything over there is cheap and get a villa in paceville or st julians and u have the nightclubs near u, most villas have microwaves and its five minutes walk to beach. plus most u will have to pay for bus on island is twenty pence and thats to opposite end of the island. which is hour and a half bus journey.
