Room available in centre of St Andrews from January

A room is becoming available in a flat in Church Street, central St Andrews (by Fisher and Donaldson), from the middle of January 2012, although the move-in date could be flexible. You'd be sharing with a female PhD student (27 years old).

The flat is really lovely, with a great view over Market Street, and the rent is startlingly cheap: £275.00 per month, excluding bills.

Ideally, I'd prefer to live with a postgraduate or mature student, but I'd consider any one.

I'm no phd , but you could sort of consider me a mature student. I'm a female undergraduate, though have lived with a houseful of masters and phds before and have had a fairly lovely time with them all.

I am a second year PhD student (although I am 30), looking for accomodation from May until October next year. I have a colleague, Christian, who is a postdoc in St Andrews, and seeks for accomodation from January until May, which might fit everyone. We are both very clean and quiet, and used to share with other people.

Hi,

unfortunately I can't consider moving into different accommodation until next year, but I was wondering if you could tell me how you managed to find such an affordable flat, and if you know of any others at similar prices becoming available for next year!

Everything I have seen so far is at least over 300 a month, I would really appreciate it if you could advise me on how you looked for/found this flat. I'm a clueless undergrad who will be moving into my first private accommodation next year, and am a little bit thrown off by a lot of the prices. I'd really really appreciate your advice.
