I guess I'm just having one of these lifetimes. Y'know, the ones that seem to drag on for far too long and leave you feeling so wretched and alone inside. So now I'm thinking of jumping off the pier and seeing where re-incarnation takes me. So if anyone wants to join me they are welcome to. Just as long as they don't mind very cold water and me going first.

I would do it on my own but I think that if I come back as a cockroach I want someone who was there to squish me. And besides its always more fun when you have an audience.

Knowing my luck I'll come back as myself again.

So... Is -anyone- up for it?

Don't think you'd pop it to be honest, if you angled it wrong maybe some broken limbs. You'd just end up freezing and even more miserable than before you went in! Why don't you invest in a wetsuit (one that's at least 4mm thick) and a boogie board (can get one for £20 off the net) and attempt to ride the waves instead of swallowing them? Serious fun and you never fail to come out feeling refreshed and in a great mood with the world. x

Hmm. I have been tempted to do the leap of no faith of the pier once before. I seem to remember I was extremely pissed off because I'd missed a lecture due to the chain on my bike breaking on the way, and for some strange reason, thought that jumping off the pier would help my frustration. Frankly though, if I was going to bump myself off, I always rather fancied getting really really anable-to-walk drunk, and then go swimming in a swimming pool. I say swimming pool cause I think the sea, or a lake would be way too cold. As for jumping off the pier with you, I think if I find myself in a situation where such an action is preferable, it will likely be for my own reasons, rather than because somebody else wants company in case they are reincarnated as a bug and need squishing. Sorry.
