Actually the purpose of the personal ads board seems to be to find fuck buddies. It was the poll suggested by rubbermuffin, Started 1st Apr 2003 (currently here: http://http://www.thesinner.net/poll-index.php?page=62)

See thing is the email has a name in it, and to the untrained eye people would mistake it for my real name, which I would be stupid enough to post oublicly on a thread like this now would I.

But people who have heard of the Name Alan Smithee will know what it is/ used to be used for, and hence why I use it.
