Wow - I wasn't expecting to be insulted!

I work in science department and it takes up all my time because I allow it too. If I had something to entertain/do then I would take time out of PhD to do so. I am a genuinely nice person and I don't want someone to fit into my schedule. Relationships are a two way thing I'd have to fit into their lives also.

Sorry if I offended. I definently don't just blend into corwd either!

My intention wasn't to insult you. I was simply highlighting that if you are busy and not putting yourself out there very often then you are minimising the possibilities of people approaching you. It's not really fair to tar all the men with the same brush when you aren't giving them all the opportunity to approach you. On the other hand it's good that you are investing a lot of time in your work. It suggests you have attractive qualities such as being hard working and committed.

Interesting. So you definitely don't blend into the crowd? How so? What would make me notice you from the next girl?

My personality I'd hope. Most people take a shine to my bubbly smiley self. I am usually teh one in the bar getting my group of friends to partake in a shot of jager with me :) And you what makes you a nice man?

So does that make you a leader or an instigator? You are almost threatening to reveal yourself as possibly quite fun. I never said I was a 'nice' man. I'm too adventurous, creative, exciting and unpredictable to be labelled as just 'nice'. If you are looking for 'nice', then you should chat to the the other guy asking the questions about what you do.

I know. The question now is are you as adventurous, daring and fun as you sound and willing to pursue your intrigue or are you just going to sit back and wonder?

Oh, I thought you were going to come up with something a bit more challenging than just a statement of intent.

I guess I'll take the initiative and ask what else you have going for you other than your sparkling personality and ability to cause trouble with jager at a bar?

I'm in Computer Science (well, it's not a science, the way I'm doing it).

Which of the sciences are you in, bored?

Obligatory Mod nagging: it'd go faster if you registered, and then I wouldn't have to keep approving all your posts all the time. :P

Got to admit, I'm intrigued by the idea that this board might actually fulfill its stated function for once.
If Jack Bauer was put in a room with Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler and Nina Myers and handed a gun with two bullets, he'd shoot Nina twice.

^ This.

Although if you have any better ideas then I'm open to hearing them. I was thinking smoke signals, but something a little more technologically advanced could also work?

Hi Bored from science,

I'm in your same situation. I also understand the schedule thing.
Therefore, I can invite you to have some fantastic tea/coffee/lunch together.

Let me know if you are seriously available for this kind of activity.
My next message, if any, will contain an e-mail address.

And don't be too bored in general ;) .

Cheers,

They don't exist they all are after "fun" i.e. sex. Where are the men who want relationships??
