My major gripe with the bop would have to be repetitivity. DJ's seem to play the same songs night in night out. Yeh you get some variation, but you'll always hear your combination of, Bon Jovi,Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Killers, Etc. I'd go more often if the songs varied from week to week.
I think the DJ's need to be a bit more adventurous and take more lisence when it comes to picking and choosing their songs. In the event that a paticular chouce doesn't go down so well, its one song in a 5 hour set, the world won't end!!
One should never underestimate the diversity of student tastes. Anyone remeber the Sarah cox set? She played Some recycled pop song and everyone was just like, "What the hell?" She played the Kinks shortly after and brought the house down!

Don't mention the Nazi's!
If you dont like the music then why dont you give DJing a shot? The fact is that BOP DJs have a very tough time deciding what to play, if you take a risk and the crowd dont like it the will probably make posts on the sinner similar to this wonderful one. But if they get it right nothing is said at all.
The fact of the matter is that the BOP has a party atmosphere that is maintained by quality music which is unfortunately limited at times. Unless you go into specialisation etc then it is quite hard to find very good, unique songs that not very many know and will be good for a BOP.
So in conclusion if you dont like the music or find it repetative they try doing 5 hours of good, well mixed music twice a week and tell me how often you have to use similar music m'kay?
