Society for Gamers, Take 2

Postby Jack Constantine on Fri Apr 23, 2004 5:42 pm

Hello again all -
I've gotten to the point now where I'm taking names for the society. If you’re interested in helping this get off the ground, drop me an email. I'm thinking of setting the membership fee at one pound; The Union demands that I collect something, but I don't really foresee us actually having much in the way of events before the end of the year. We can start up the games collective part of the idea immediately, but really, I just want to get this started this year so we can have a booth at the soc fayre next year.
So, yeah, if you’re interested, email me. We need 24 people to sign up (20 regular members, 4 people to fill positions) and all the usual positions are up for grabs (including president, if anyone thinks they'd be good at it. I just want to get this thing off the ground). My email is in the sig. Thanks to all, and have a great weekend.

you just need 20 people, including those who might take a position on the society committee.

Sounds pretty interesting - so would this mean Wolf games year round for those of us on the network? :D

we've pretty much had this going unofficially for the whole year. We've organised games and played quite regularly (certainly first semester) and had i not been graduating this year i would have been more than interested in being on the committee. if you check out the wiredsoc board there is usually something about games happening.

heh. I've been wracking my brain to come up with a good name - its hard as hell, and that probably the first thing I'll put to vote amongst the members...
