Sunday Sunday

Postby kaleidoscope_eyes on Sun May 09, 2004 9:03 pm

Hey im bored. What does everyone else do on a Sunday? Today I went to my job then i went for an ice cream then I went for a walk then I came home then I ate then I listen to Genesis then I listened to Maddona then I pissed around on my laptop.

What does everyone else do on a Sunday?

Sleep for as long as is humanely and decently possible, eat, listen to music, piss around on computers, go to cinema

Sleep, eat, try to think of something to do, fail, go on the sinner. And so ends another Sunday...

Well, normally I lie in until around 10:30am, and slop about my room watching t.v. and playing on the internet (especially the Sinner, I have an unhealthy appetite for it) and occasionally doing some work, usually not until late evening after dinner.

However, today was slightly different. I studied last night until 1:30am, got to bed at 2:00am and then was incapable of sleeping, and ended up watching awful latenight t.v. dross such as "Off-Centre" until at least 5:00am, so I am a bit dead today. I was up at 10:30am, drank super-strong coffee to wake up. Met up with a couple of friends in The Eating Place for lunch as a small acknowledgement to it being my 21st birthday today. Nipped to Tescos for a couple of bits and bobs, mainly highly unhealthy revision nibbles. Went home, and have been sat at my desk revising ever since. Fun huh? I would normally stay up later than this, but my lack of sleep lastnight is now catching up of me, so I think I'm going to finish these last couple of pages of my revision notes, and stumble the 1.5 yards to my bed and crash.

mad dash to do all that work I promised myself I'd do last week which turned into my weekend project which inevitably always turns into my Sunday night/ Monday morning stress.
However, I do like dancing around my room or kitchen. Sunday is also the day my friends and flatmates like to cook dinner for each other.

[hr]I love cheese.

I usually spend time catching up on e-mails, writing my diary, working and doing the biggest of my many shops in Tescos. Sometimes there's OTC training, sometimes I go home and when i don't i wish i was, so i could tuck into a decent Sunday dinner. Not a Pot Noodle in sight!

Sorry, bust just to get our bit in:

I personally go to FilmSoc Sunday double bills!

(and this has nothing to do with me actually running the thing. Honest. Really)

I don't have a regular plan for Sundays.

Today went a bit like this:
Woke up at 9 in order to see my mum off to the station. (She's off to London to sail the Endeavour up to Whitby).

Spent a while chatting to friends who I hadn't spoken to ages; one was running a marathon on the Isle of Wight (ended up completing it in 3 hours 44mins).

Ventured out into the garden to sort out some weeds and plant some bedding plants. Ended up spending seven and a half hours out there, and managed to completely de-moss the lawn. Trouble is, the lawn comprised mainly moss. Tomorrow afternoon will be spent re-seeding it.

The evening saw me make a 4 egg omelette(eggs from a friend's hens) with fresh herbs and cheese.

I've spent the rest of the evening listening to music and chatting to friends via the magic of the internet.

Frantically writing an essay which is due for tomorrow, with occassional checks of LiveJournal (the best procrastination tool ever) and The Sinner, and listening to a lot of Morrissey.

Happy birthday, Happy.
I slept to 1pm, then met a friend for lunch 1.30-3pm. Read the newspaper, played Hockey 5-6.30pm. Went to the cinema then to the pub, thus went my Sunday.

my entire sunday is structured around Spongebob and The OC. Sad but true.

[hr]BOROMIR: Don't call me an idiot, dork.
LEGOLAS: This is no mere dork. This is your King. And my boyfriend.
Silence as entire COUNCIL stares at ARAGORN and LEGOLAS.
ARAGORN: (in Elvish) Great, Legolas. Just great.

Last Sunday I used some program on my laptop to make a movie on my laptop for my mates. The result was a slightly surreal mixture of really bad 80s music videos and hardcore pornography. The sombre music on the credits reflected just how much of a pointless exercise the whole experience really was. My advice for Sundays is do something productive, read a book, tidy the house or learn to play a musical instrument, just dont spend it trying to work out which music goes best with double penetration (Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin I reckon).
