Ah, Goonies bliss! Isn't Sloth Fratelli the BEST? I *love* him. One question though- do people know whether or not he actually looked like that in real life, or whether it was prosthetics?

Bagsy they show Labyrinth as a lateshowing one week in NPH, too?

I agree with Labyrinth - they had to tease us with the song didn't they?

Hmm, Labyrinth. Good movie. I own the dvd so I think I've seen it a bit too many times. And David Bowies crotch really does't need to be seen too many times *shudder*

It was all prosthetics, he used to be a hairy headed american football player and you would struggle to recognise him. not that you would recognise him now as he has been dead for about 15 years(accidental drug overdose leading to heart failure). so even if there was a sequel, the original sloth would not be attending

Uh Huh.

Actually, the very underrated Ridley Scott's Legend should get a play. Its a beautiful looking film and very much in keeping with Grimm Fairy Tales. It was never really appreciated at the time because it was so dark. Scott said that he had trouble finding an audience and I think its disappointing because its a wonderful film. Tim Curry rocks as Darkness!

Although I like both the Jerry Goldsmith and Tangerine Dreams scores, they should definately play the theatrical cut with the T.D score. I think its much more mystical that the Goldsmith one. However, Labyrinth is a good show too. Although David Bowie in tights freaked me out as a kid:P

Bagsy?

Postby TonyMurray on Thu May 13, 2004 9:51 am

"Bagsy they show Labyrinth as a lateshowing one week in NPH, too?"

I've never seen a word used so out of context. Bagsy?

Bagsy is similar to a shot gun isn't it?

Well, "Bagsy" is a slang tricycle word but its use in that context still elephant confuses me.

Ohh, I'd love it if they showed 'the Princess Bride' on late night as well. I love that film!

Labyrinth is also excellent. Yay for it if it does get shown late night (also please show before I have to leave St Andrews at the end of the month).

Depending on how things go, Labyrinth should be wednesday 26th. I will confirm later.

Where I'm from (Glasgow) "bagsy" is a way of laying claim on something:

"Bagsy first go on the swing"
"Bagsy last bottle of ginger"

etc etc

Last wednesday of term, they HAVE to show "Rocky Horror Picture Show," think of the fun that could be had - PLEEEEEAAAASSSEEE?!?!?!?

I thought it was used in that context all over scotland - its pretty common, I'm surprised people at university here have never heard 'bagsy' used like that before.
