if I was Chelsea manager, i would expect to win the league in four years. right now i reckon that if Mourinho doesn't win it this year he'll have a few problems.
I hold an element of surprise

I agree. After the way Ranieri was treated he'll get a slagging if he doesn't win next season. He'll learn that English football fans (football boards?)don't want to wait for results, they want them NOW.

I give Chelsea 5 years before Abramovic disapears and they are left ruined. His cash injections can't last, and once it dries up, they have little to fall back on.

The Premiership is garbage anyway.

Up the SPL... well, maybe not but its going to get better...

Yip, Abramovic won't hang around for long and once he leaves Chelsea will be shafted.

As for the SPL, with most of the clubs bankrupt or there abouts I can't see it getting much better. Division 1 is the place to be, its so good the winners don't get to leave it. At least next season most teams can get promoted. St Mirren St Johnstone Airdrie Clyde Raith have over 6k seats, Falkirk will have 6k by the end of the season, if Partick come down thats another team able to go up. Hamilton also have around 5k seats so if they were in a position to get promotion I'm sure something could be done.

The first division was definitely the most exciting one to watch this season, and it'll probably be the same next year. Should really be pledging my allegiance to the second, but it wasn't that great this year...

No division 1 wasn't that good this season. It hasn't really been that good since Dunfermline and St Mirren were promoted. The quality of football isn't as good as it has been. Since the two aforementioned clubs were promoted 5 or so years ago, there has really only been 2 good sides in division 1, the Livinston team than won the league a year later and last season Falkirk team. This season was disappointing as despite going to a lot of games(I was at 26 of Falkirks league games), I can't think of any really good games. Infact the best game I was at this season was Falkirk's 4-3 win at Arbroath in the challenge cup.

How do you think Alloa will do in divsion 2 nexy season? I'd have them down as top 4 as they looked to be finding there form at the end of the season when Tom Hendrie took over.

This season wasn't that great at the start, had nightmares about getting relegated AGAIN, but then we pulled it out the bag with Hendrie.

Definitely gonna do better next season, I reckon you're right about our position. I don't think it would be good for us to get promotion though, getting humped every week doesn't increase the numbers at the Rex. Maybe the season after that... I can dream!

As long as we finish above the dirty Stirling Albion and beat their arse in every derby I'll have a smile on my face.

I think Alloa's problem would be that they aren't really a big enough club to stay in division 1. With County averaging over 3000 fans a game and Falkirk, Raith, St Mirren St Johnstone QoS ICT all above 2000, even relegated Ayr were just short of 2000. Alloa's average must be less than half of Ayr's so the money isn't there to compete.

Ok, my agruement falls down when it comes to Clyde

Yeah, you're right enough, we get 700 on a good day. It was really embarrasing having a home game when the away support was twice as big as the home. The locals just all support Rangers (apart from me of course, I am an elightened woman)so no-one comes to the poor Rex!

I hate the fact that so many buses leave towns all over Scotland to go to watch Old Firm games. At least 2 buses head to Ibrox and Parkhead every home game from Grangemouth, when theres at least 10 teams closer than those pair.Falkirk, East Stirling, Stennymuir, Alloa, Stirling Albion, Clyde, Airdrie, Albion Rovers, Hearts and Hibs are all closer than the Old Firm, but they still go to watch them and OF fans still complain about the lack of competition.

I've been a Chelsea supporter for years now and the way that Ranieri has been treated is an absolute frikkin' disgrace. Totally out of character for a club that has been dominated by the bastared Bates but still had a sense of decency about it.

As it is, I wouldn't give Abramovich even 5 years. He's wanted in Russia on a whole series of charges of fraud and corruption to do with the oil business out there and the authorities are closing in. More charges were brought against him only last week.

Given the billions involved, the money he has spent on Chelsea is relative peanuts. But I've still a sneaking suspicion he's using the club to launder it out of the system. Why else should he still be insisting that Ranieri keeps spending money when Ranieri is asking to be given time with what he has?

And if Abramovich is shafted (hopefully) the only problem is that Chelsea are likely to take it in the neck as well.
In the old days, it used to be Las Vegas that was used but it's starting to look like the Premiership is the new target for the sleaze bags of this world.

While on the Subject of the SPL, what do we think of Javier Clemente, the former Spanish National coach, applying to take over at Dunfermline, could be an interesting appointment. And of the Old Firm, well, their bigotry and cheating antics sicken me, Rangers have began to collapse and I give Celtic another 6 months after they realise how Gash they are without Larsson. Heart of Midlothian are on the ascendancy, having lost only 2 games in 2004 and running the Old Firm close (And who can forget that famous win in Bordeaux?)

I take it from your comments that you are a jambo. Fair enough. I thank you for your repeated loans to our fine club.

Talking of Dunfermline, would you have left them to go and clear up Paterson's mess? Don't think I would have...
