I am the enemy's biggest fan! i'm glad he won kissability poll (other doesn't count), i know i voted for him! he's soooo daring, swooping into lectures unexpectedly and challenging olsen, who, lets be fair, is an amazing man! the consistency with which he can repel those epsilon balls! he should be knighted. but the enemy is my hero, i'm the kinda person who loves the underdog.

Nobody ever notice at the beginning of a term, when all the lecturers are giving the p2p speech. Olsen seems to never say the "2" in "p2p", which has always given me nightmares. "If you miss three or more tutorials we will remove your peepee". Oh noes.

how pointless is it that FIPS is going to badly"teach" us something thats not in the exam syllabus for the next 2 weeks, when I feel a lot of us could do with some "revision" of what we've done already - seeing as what we did today was the last stuff to be in the exam. He's a shockingly bad lecturer and his notes are really really hard to follow - couldn't work through some past exams or something seeing as so many of us "made such heavy weather" of what was a quite simple test. i'm so so goingn to fail that class if i only use his notes
argh! I hate differential equations

he's been doing the course too long, as everything is now routine to him. the stuff he started today, although its not in the exam, will be really useful in the future, esp if you do applied maths. the jeffrey book is thorough for revision purposes, but i found it a bit dry. i think the way to look at his notes is to go through them, note down a couple of lines on each form of o.d.e./p.d.e. and then attempt his tut sheets / do the examples yourself. this is what i did for the class test and found it went quite well (at least before i get my mark back). the other option is if we all conspire to do spectacularly badly, and pray for favourable scaling...

I can't do differential equations either, I'm dreading my test result as I could only do question 2 so I'm expecting a mark between 1 and 5....It is without doubt the worst module I have ever taken and I thought nothing could beat Linear Maths and topics in groups... *sighs*

Today, the perennial comedian Olsen presented the 2002-ers with an example class test before tomorrow's big assessment. He was quite clear that he was not cheating however, as:

"While this example test is not identical to the test you will all sit tomorrow, it is, shall we say, ISOMORPHIC to the class test you will all do tomorrow"

i was giggling everytime he mentioned it, does any1 find it odd that it come in balls and sausages, is there an underlying sexual reference there?

Haha, thats a very interesting idea, im sure the olsenator was making a hidden reference of some kind, hes that kind of guy. Why not achieve a mix of maths and love in the same lecture? I think its a very nice touch, well observed 5handicapgolfer! Who are you by the way, we are all intrigued as to your identity in lectures. Where does thee sit?

im unsure whether to unleash my identity, i think the sinner is a great way to talk to people at the uni that u may not ordinarily speak to, as there are no prejudices or social barriers, not saying i have them any more than others they are just built into our nature.
plus i dont know who u are! lol

lets just "enhance" our love for olsen on the net!
