Has anyone joined the above society and not heard a word about socials/events. I joined basically for the rugby trips and some banter in the socials but have got absolutly no contact from the said club?

Anybody in the same boat?

I joined in first year and got a lovely potato, and I think I paid £1 but can't remember. I gave my e-mail address and then never heard anything although I remember Lafferty's being mentioned as a meeting place.

I don't know if I'm a member or not... someone must know!

This year there were regular Thursday socials at the Castle (happy hour on Guinness) until about late October. Since then the meetings have sort of died out. However, there were at least a few e-mails that went out at the beginning of the semester...

Next time i see the committee, I'll try to beat them into submission.

Yeah, apologies for the lack of contact! We've been having some committee issues!!! We're in the process of buying tickets for the upcoming rollercoaster of a bonanza that is...Ireland v Scotland. Hold on tight!!

I am sure Rilla will be up for it when she sees this thread.

Point of information:

You will have MUCH more fun if you ditch the murrayfield plan and come with us to Biddie Milligans in Edinburgh for the game. You will save £50 each (minus the £15 extra you spend in Biddies), and will be able to watch it somewhere that actually has atmosphere. Plus we are the best rugby crowd you are ever likely to watch a game with.
I listen to feminists and all these radical gals - most of them are failures. They've blown it. Some of them have been married, but they married some Casper Milquetoast who asked permission to go to the bathroom. These women just need a man in the house. That's all they need. Most of the feminists need a man to tell them what time of day it is and to lead them home. And they blew it and they're mad at all men. Feminists hate men. They're sexist. They hate men - that's their problem. ~Jerry Falwell
