Maybe it's the gorgeous men!!! no no sorry definetely not that! Imagination running wild there!
Maybe it's the course work...
Boozeday Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday perhaps?

Here was me thinking this was a thread about terminal illness.

I look forward to my return - however brief it may be.

Less than a week to go for me! I'm even getting excited about stupid stuff like buying food and having a key for my house!

I'm in on Thursday, so hopefully all will go to plan and I can be bored in somewhere interesting like St Andrews as opposed to Cowdenbeath/Dunfermline(though to be fair, it's only an hour by bus, so no need to do my own washing just yet...)

Can't wait, myself. Been looking forward to going back all summer.

I love having the seaside! I love how you can't walk down the street without seeing someone you know...
I love how friendly everyone is...

ok, im going to spoil everyone's fun and say I like the summer here without all the crowds of students in the street. I like feeling properly a part of the town, and not just the university. I like the sense of community the remaining people have here. I like getting to know the local people better, and I like the fact that the students left here together get to know each other so much better.
I like not seeing my students in the pub.

Sorry, I'm just bitter cos the end of the year means people are leaving this week.
and that makes me sad.

Yeah, I agree - I like being able to go into the shops and not having to queue for hours on end as well! But I will be pleased to see the tourists go home...

I'm not so thrilled about coming back - I have had a wicked summer and met some really great people and I feel like this year is going to be a tough one! Although has to be better than last - I hope! Summer has gone way too fast.
I do know that I will be glad to be back when Ive moved into our new flat - think its the thought of moving everything again - and perhaps the impending resit :(

I'm also not really looking forward to coming back - i love St. Andrews but spending the summer here in Shanghai has made me realise even more that Britain sucks. Why does Britain have to be so so boring?

I have lots of people that i do really want to see when i get back and i'm missing a lot of people but i've made great friends here too and i know that i'm going to miss China a lot.

Actually, writing this has made me realise just how much i will miss Shanghai. I love everything about this city and the no clubs/quiet atmosphere in St. Andrews is actually going to be really difficult to readjust to

exactly! I live about 30mins from glasgow and I'm going to miss the ngihtlife SO much!
I have friends coming up to visit me and I was thinking - 'what the hell do I do with them?' there is nothing to do after the pubs shut in St A's - i might have to venture to Dundee for the clubs...and well I hate it there!
Don't get me wrong - there are a lot of things to do during the day in St A's especially as some of my friends are golf fanatics - but at night I'm lost!
I do recognise the fact that nightclubs in St A's just wouldn't work - there would be too much overcrowding and probably a lot more complaints from the locals...it is a shame really...

the parties are great - i have to admit to that! but it gets a bit tedious having parties all the time and then having to clean up - after 2 years of doing that i can tell you my flat is never the same after having people over - more than likely due to my laziness on the cleaning front!
Doubt it will stop me though.....

I hear Bahgdad comes close... ...it really depends what you classify as good "nightlife"

Glasgow has such a bad rep - but not all of it is like that! everywhere has its bad parts - it seems thats the good parts always get looked over in glasgow's case!

What i mean is whenever i ask someone to explain what makes Glasgow nightlife great, they tell me all the things which would make a night out crap for me. But then, I just like to sit in the dark in the corner and nuzzle pint after pint...
