RIght, this is a long shot, do any of you good people know of anywhere to go mountain biking in (or more probably around) glasgow?

Cheers. or something.

It's a bit further away but Fort William has a world class mountain bike track. There might be a track around Loch Lomond too but I can't remember.

Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias thought that we would know alot more about the nature of the universe than we do now.

some of my mates carry their full sussers up ben lomond, then ride back down. only 2 hrs drive away is the lovely glentress forest in peebles. full of splendiferous routes. say hello in the cafe :)

Laggan is only a couple of hours away and is awesome, there's glentress as mentioned, and if you're a bit of a nutter, try the freeride trail at the lomonds (falkland in fife) :) Also there's some good riding down in dumfries and galloway. None of these are exactly the glasgow area but who wants to ride "mountain" bikes in a city...

Glad to help - just don't fall into the traditional STW trap of forgetting that you actually own a bicycle because you spend all your time arguing about tyres on the internet ;)

Btw, what username did you post under? I'm MrGreedy there as well.

oh my god! Ae is amazing, the final descent is brilliant. 2.7km of big up tabletops and berms. such fun! you can't help but get faster and faster so the air just gets bigger and bigger. Shame there's not a cafe at the bottom to warm you up again, and that Moffat seems to close down for the night at 430pm :)
