Ive no idea, the world is going mental and the sinner is inserting HTML into our posts

I was just wondering how you'd managed to get the "you" to be a mailto: link.

Edit: Sorry, that probably sounds really condescending, I didn't mean it to.

Limbo is the first level of inferno, m'dear, not purgatory. And if you were in limbo you could chat to the likes of Virgil and Homer, that might be fun!

Totally random, but is there any more progress on electronic voting?

I ask because here in Glasgow the SRC just held its elections and it was possible to vote by logging into the student portal and clicking on the relevant link. It just seems so much easier - and much better for a university like St Andrews where everyone spends most of each day online anyway.

Plus, people wouldn't have to cower in fear on election day from going into the library. It would certainly decrease the harassment people are subjected to by campaigns.

Though I think it might be fairer in those circumstances to allow electronic campaigning.

Perhaps something along the lines of a unionelections.com website divided up by post and then by candidate which the candidate can design him/herself or have as a plain template from the Association.

I'd also lift all bans on external boards and sites, certainly regulate what can and cannot be done on the University's server, but I see no reason why - for example - Facebook should in any way full under the Union's jurisdiction. In this modern age facebooking people about your candidacy or emailing them from your personal (not university) account is the equivalent of going round and telling them in days of yore. It's absurd to regulate it.

I think it was Kate Thomasson who won. The name is ringing a bell for some reason. I can't remember the numbers though.
