One hedges one's bets by writing-in-nomination Citizen Steely Dan, the greatest hits.

Who are Steely Dan?

My word, the shocking ignorance.

Steely Dan, my dear boy, are the creators of some of the finest music known to mankind. Musical, lyrical and production perfection are the traits of their beautiful, tight, melodic playing.

No band matches the level of production excellence shown by Steely Dan.

In short, they're the fucking awesome.

I would like to second the "Who the hell is Steely Dan?".

And please tell me I was not the only one who thought "Everything Must go? Thats a Manics album!"

Why didn't you just do that in the first place, then you wouldn't have to ask?

I have never heard any Steely Dan despite having heard -of- them since the start of the year.

Can't be arsed with all this musical elitism...GIVE ME MY ALICE COOPER, MATE! Sisters of Mercy! Siouxsie and the Banshees! Lacuna Coil! Lords of Acid!

Oh my. I seem to have arsed my posting at the same time as pressing stuff on linux and making things slightly wonky.

I have an A4 Wacom in the way...

I think there needs to be some way of educating people that Steely Dan/Jethro Tull/etc ARE NOT PEOPLE IN THE BAND.

Yes, it's a truly shocking thing to like music because it's actually extremely good. Elitism is terrible, it gives us the best... oh, now wait...
