For the AU elections, all uncontested candidates were elected (poor RON) and...

For VP Recreation - Richelle Agcaoili-Eriksson

For AUVP - Richard Harker

What was the turnout like this year?

For the record, that was the best election ever! The pagentry was just so great, and there were constestations. Well done everyone!

Sadly most of the guys I voted for didn't win, but that's democracy for you!

turn out was somewhere in the region of 1937 - the highest I've ever know of, so yay for a slight demise in student apathy!

I think JohnQPublic should be made to go away and stop being so bitter that he lost. It's this little thing called democracy, and yeah, at 2.30am I was a little petrfied of a certain cabbatical candidate winning (no, not me. I was petrified about that about 2am!) but the voters know who they want and they have voted really responsibly this year.

And I really don't mind counting either SP ref or EI opinion poll

It did seem quite a good turn out, everytime I went to the library there was a long queue so in the end I missed my chance to vote and I'm annoyed at myself as someone I didn't want to win got elected.

In general it is most uncouth to oust a Sinner's true identity, but I believe JohnQPublic is in fact Cecil the teddy bear. We may disagree with him, but you have to give him credit for being able to type without digits.

Any word on when we'll hear the results for the SP and EI counts?

I have my ideas on who JohnQPublic is, but obviously I don't know for sure. However, given the nature of some of the things that he has been saying, I think we can just about guess that it is one of two people, or else someone acting on behalf of one of two people. Have a think about it...
