What's Happening In Showcase

Postby Nymphomanic on Thu Apr 05, 2007 2:33 pm

I've heard a lot about Showcase but I can't find a programme anywhere. There are several plays I missed during the year and I'd really like to see them now I'm a bit less skint, but I don't know when they are on, or which ones are on even. I've scoured facebook for info and not found anything. Does anyone know?

I got a program from the tea shop on Greyfriars about two weeks ago, they seemed to have plenty of them there. Haven't seen any other publicity around, though.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

Where are the music and bar events? I thought ever since Vagina Monologues launch party a certain act that came on after Blue Brothers lost the Byre's music license.

The music and bar events are all in the bar except the first and last night when they are actually on the Main Stage. The byre has lost their license, but they are in danger of it, so any loud acts are on the Main Stage. But everything at 7pm is in the bar, and every 10:30 act is as well other than Shane Shu and Blues Brothers. But they're all free no matter the venue!

It's more complicated than just one incident that has caused problems with our licence. Thursday jazz evenings have been trouble for us in the past in terms of complaints generated.

That's what I've heard, and if I was unclear, I meant that when the police shut down the VM party, it was the last straw-something I was most upset by, since our band had tried very hard to keep the noise down that night.

Well, thats why the louder acts for Showcase are on the Mainstage- so that we can make as much noise as we like!

As much noise as the Byre allow, perhaps?
